The Employee Ownership Foundation’s goal is to help more individuals become employee owners. The funds we raise during ESOPATHON advance that mission by both supporting existing ESOPs and growing their number so more Americans and communities can benefit. Additionally, baby boomers own about half of all privately held firms nationwide. As these owners retire, the local business landscape is shifting dramatically. Employee ownership, including Employee Stock Ownership Plans, addresses the Silver Tsunami by providing viable business succession plans that lead to job retention and dollars staying local.
